|I am an architect graduated in Industrial Design at the Faculty of Architecture of Florence.
In 1993 I became member of the Order of Architects and ADI of which I founded the Tuscan Delegation in 2006, becoming President and Coordinator of the Territorial Observatory of Design, until 2010.
In 2009 I became professor in Product Design System at the ISIA of Florence.
Since 1992 I have been working as a designer in various productive sectors.
In the lighting field, I was Chief Designer of Targetti Sankey, a company that won the Compasso d’Oro in 1998.
With the lamp Lesena produced by Martini in 1998, selected by Achille Castiglioni for the Intel Prize, Young & Design Award winner and exposed to the BIO in Ljubljana, I introduced the «Lesena Style», a design concept that inspired many other products in other sectors, such as radiators, mirrors, sinks, shower columns and bookshelves.
With Poker, produced by Cisal, Yatao Award winner in Canton and I.D. Award in New York, I introduced in 2005, the plan kitchen double jointed faucet that has already many followers on the market.
Lift, which I designed in 2010 for Composad and was selected for Grandesign and for Green Dot Awards in Los Angeles, is the first, adjustable in height, walk-in closet entirely produced with ecological panel.
I also worked with companies such Pineider, Locman, Tibaldi, Ferrari da Varese, Myron Adler, Paris Miki, Maserati, Bugatti, Jaquet Droz, Piquadro, for the design of personal goods.
In the field of writing instruments with Egosphere, selected by Michele de Lucchi for The International Design Yearbook, I introduced the "morphing" concept, while with Jolly, then placed in the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design collection, I relaunched on the market the theme of leather pen.
